This is definitely my favorite type of movie, a heartwarming romance with an artistic taste. It touches you in a natural way by telling a tale of a writer's family. We're all stuck in love in some way or another. Or at least once in life. First loves are always immature and impulsive. Rusty won his dream girl's heart with a punch in the wrong guy's face. He chased love the same way as he did with literary dream. Kate injected sensual pleasures into Rusty which he had never experienced before. Kate thought Rusty would fix her dug problem, but eventually she could only be saved by herself. Hadn't it been Rusty and his love, she would have gone astray prematurely. Love is blind. One takes a chance and risks it all to impress and express, in all forms of love. Love won't rust. Sometimes, people deserve second chances so long as they still care about each other. Erica and Bill went separate ways after they both betrayed each other in marriage. But long after the divorce, the husband couldn't move on but checked on his wife secretively and left a plate and place at dinner table for her. It was after Erica and her daughter made up along with the forgiveness and understanding between she and her husband that she was a family member once again. If two people were meant to be together, they will find their way. When Louis met Samantha, it was love at first sight. But not for Samantha. Her problem was pushing people away in resistance of love shadowed by her family situation. Louis was anxious and patient. He walked into her life after she witnessed coincidently the kindness with which he treated his sickly mother. More importantly, he really took time to read her soul. They ultimately became people who couldn't live without each other. What's more, she was no longer cynical, denial of love. All the characters in this movie are kind and sweet. A man may usually be known by the books he reads. Rusty, Louis and Bill are all sensitive and subtle. They tried their hardest to love, forgive and move on. They followed their hearts, meanwhile listened to lover's hearts. Loving the other person in the said person's way is what true love is all about. The three sweet love stories were integrated by the power of writing derived from love for others and life itself. Just as my favorite lines of the movie: "I could hear my heart beating. I could hear everyone's heart. I could hear the human noise we sat there making. None of us moving, not even when the room went dark. Writing is listening for that beating heart, and when we hear it, it's our job to decipher it to the best of our abilities." Don't falter in face of love. Don't panic because you aren't loved. True love comes to those who wait. If loved by the right person, you will shine and turn out to be a better self because love can bring out the best in you. We can be stuck in love and saved by it. Be grateful and cherish.。
